Well, Asia's litter is getting ready for their placements, having just turned eight weeks old. What that means for me is that they're ready for their alterations -- spaying and neutering!!
My vet, Dr. I, was gracious enough to allow me to observe the surgeries. I focused on neuters this time -- a pediatric spay can be found here.
My goal with this is to show that neutering is NOT painful to the pet, and can help save countless lives from death in shelters or, the worse option, living lives as unwanted and neglected pets.
ALSO, you need to be SELFISH -- !! -- many studies have shown that early spay / neuters help reduce the risk of mammary cancer and prostate problems in dogs -- don't you want your pup to be with you for a long time, and to lead as painless a life as possible?
