Little Amadeus needs a forever home!
Here's what his foster momma writes:
"Amadeus is a 6 month old American Pit Bull Terrier mix – possibly with American Bulldog, Great Dane or Labrador Retriever. He’s weighing in at about 55 pounds – though that’s sure to increase a bit! Amadeus was found as a stray in Hartford, Conn., by a police officer, and was rescued from the pound.
"He is a beautiful dog – strangers stop to comment all the time. He does have a handsome look about him.
He’s mostly white, with a big black patch over one eye, a small black patch over the other, a big black spot on his back and little black “freckles” all over his ears and body. Think of Petey from Little Rascals, or the Target dog."

She continues:
"He is a wonderful companion, loving and affectionate and is very well behaved (for a puppy) in the house and fenced yard. He’s a fun puppy, too, with the usual playful antics. He’s curious and not shy. He loves his toys and is quite motivated by food."
|
and...
"He has begun some obedience training – he already knows some pretty basic commands, like “sit” and “no” – and he’s working on his leash skills and social skills now. It appears that he had little or no socialization in the first six months of his life – so he has some bad manners – particularly with greeting strangers and other dogs – that we’re also working on with obedience training.
Around the house, he’s a ball. When I’m working in the kitchen or home office, without being told, he just lies on the floor (and snores sometimes!). In the living room while I’m watching TV or reading, he likes to play or nuzzle up next to me. He would love to sit on the couch with me (not allowed), but I’ll shimmy down to the floor and he’ll curl up in my lap – he’d stay there for hours if he could."

...
"For his dinner he will sit patiently and wait for you to get his food ready. He also doesn’t seem to mind being touched or petted while he’s eating.
At night he sleeps on his pet bed alongside my bed. Again, he’d just love to sleep on the bed with me (and makes a few attempts to do so some nights), but once he settles in on his pet bed, he’s down for the night… and he usually doesn’t wake up until I wake him up in the morning." |
finally...
"He’s fairly well housetrained and he’ll whimper by the door or give it a surprisingly gently swipe with his paw to say he wants to go out. He’s crated during the day, generally for 4 or 5 hours at a stretch, but he would probably be fine for an 8-hour day. When he finds a new “forever home” he can bring his crate and all his cool toys with him!
He has all his shots and is scheduled to be neutered this week."
So, that's it -- THANK YOU for giving this boy a chance, Christina -- don't forget, she concludes that, "He comes with a nice big crate and a bunch of cool toys, too!" - PERFECT!!!
