Aliyah

"Aliyah is quite small, she looks like a pitbull / jack russel terrier mix.  She is only 8 months and has a docked tail."

Well now, quite the interesting mix you are, Ms. Aliyah --

Blue

Blue is a 2 year old pitbull mix,  the former owner said he was mixed with husky.  He has one blue eye and one brown eye.  He is a large dog.

The shelter says she is good with children and other animals.  He is an absolutely gorgeous dog who seemed calm in his kennel.

All sounds good with dear Blue, and I strongly doubt he has any Husky in his blood -- !!

Boomer

Boomer is a 1-2 year old male.  He is good with other animals and children.

Boomer jumps up and down in his kennel at the shelter so he may be a high energy dog. 

Maria says that large black dogs, especially pitbulls, are very hard to adopt out at the shelter. 

He is a good looking dog, these pictures don't do him justice.

Diamond

Diamond is 8 months.  She is at risk of being euthanized because she has displayed extreme dog aggression.  She is also not doing well in a kennel environment, she is cage stressed. 

Her only chance is being taken by an experienced pitbull rescuer.

Diva

This is Diva.  She's a five year old female. 

Maria said she is calm and good with children and other animals.

Lulu

This is Lulu.  Lulu is more urgent because she has shown signs of dominance and she can scale fences. 

Patches

Patches is just adorable.  She is a small-medium sized dog if that makes sense.  She was very calm and inquistive in her kennel when I visited. She's 2 years old and has had a litter, but you can't really tell.  Her litter is in foster care. 

The shelter says she is good with children and other animals.

queenie

Queenie is a 1-3 year old female.  She is a very good looking dog.  She was labeled as urgent because she needs more consideration in her placement.

Can't adopt, but want to make a difference?

First off, spay / neuter your dog -- !! If you have puppies you're placing, DO NOT place them unaltered, because though it sounds trite, "accidents happen", and they will likely end up in situations much worse than this --

-- if you don't have a dog, but will be eventually getting one, ADOPT ADOPT ADOPT -- !! Don't let your family or friends buy from "breeders" either while great shelter dogs are dying --

-- finally, be a responsible owner! Take your dog to obedience, own her responsibly, don't ever give up on them, and have them be a part of your daily life -- !!
