Here is the email I received --
"Hello Eric, My name is Denise. I have a 9month old bluenose pitbull. I love him to deaf, but he has been making things hard for me and my children. I kids are getting scared of him. There are times when he is fine and times when he wants to attack them. I don't want to put him to sleep or send him to a animal shelter. My friend was telling me about your website. I really do think that Blu needs more training. I can't afford it. I want him to get a good home with no kids. He has been getting jealous of my kids when they are around me. He grawls and barks at them. Please get back to me when u have a chance. I'll trying to move out of where i am, and alot of places do not accept the kind of dog i have. Please Eric if you can help me. I will gladly appreciate it.
Thank You, Denise
P.S. Here is a picture of him. His Name is Blu"
So, there are a lot of comments one could have here -- first off, to me, there are no blue-nosed pit bulls -- this boy has a black nose, and that's the end of it -- and that's okay. These dogs should not be purchased for their so-called "exceptional" traits, they should be adopted as family members that need and demand proper nurturing and care.
For Blu, this means obedience. He is only 9 months old, and he is starting to grow in to a personality. Would he like to be the center of attention? Certainly. Does he really want to bite the kids at 9 months? Likely not. Does he need a knowledgeable trainer? Absolutely.
Blu is experiencing one of the toughest angles on survival these dogs can see -- he's no longer a puppy, and he needs work -- and he may not get it.
If you would like to pick this boy out of this situation and do him right by training and understanding, he will likely oblige, with bells on.
