I try harder with the Ohio pit bulls -- and sweet Caroline is certainly no exception --

-- she is an 18 week old puppy in a high-kill shelter there. She will be transported to safety this week, and her last destination is YOU -- !!

She will be spayed and vetted prior to placement, and breed familiarity is a plus --

-- also, proof-of-obedience upon adoption is required -- for her little sake -- !!

The picture at the right is how we LIKE to see these babies, held and loved --

-- and the one at the left is their unfortunate reality at county shelters --

-- just "another stray" --

-- no-one's fault, actually, but just unfortunate reality --

-- so here's where YOU come in -- to put pink collars on her, to educate yourself and others about this wonderful breed, and to give her a better life -- !!

If you're interested in giving this girl a 180-degree spin on life, fill out an application above --

-- and THANK YOU!

Update --

-- with Scratch and Sniff in tow -- !!

Well, I got word that little miss Caroline was in the pound next to a dog that tested positive for parvo --

-- NOT GOOD --

-- even though Caro had her first parvo shot, she still needed to move, quickly -- !!

Here she's shown in a definite "saved" phase of the day -- !!

So, Julie in Ohio rushed to get her....

... and before long, she was enjoying the bliss of Julie's back yard -- being a little lady --

-- but not for long, that is...

... guess who tagged along -- ??

THE BOYS --

-- Scratch and Sniff --

-- here's Scratch, hamming it up with Julie --

-- he's about 20 weeks old, and a pit-mix --

-- I love pit-mixes, since they oftentimes have the endearing traits of pit bulls, but are usually not as dog aggressive as pit bulls can be --

-- a real plus in my book.

Scratch is temporarily blinded by the light as he exits the pound...

... and before long, little Sniff, his brother, tumbles out -- !!

Sniff's face says it all -- he's a sweetheart, and not too sure of his breed --

-- though he says, "Well, are you?" --

-- um, no, Sniff -- and you've got a good point there -- !!

So, if you're interested in either Caroline, Scratch or Sniff, fill out an adoption application above!
