Well, here is Charm, a beauty of a girl in a Jersey shelter.

Her rescuer writes --

" Charm is about 8 months to 1 year old and a real love bug!! She came into the shelter very unsure but has blossomed into a social butterfly! I call her my train wreck since she will run into you full speed and you better be ready for 75 pounds of love!!"

"She loves to fetch and tease you with her favorite toy until she gets you to chase her and play tug. Although she is rough, she has great boundaries. She is very careful to never let her teeth touch you while she plays!!! Her favorite past time has been chasing a leaf or 2, and I could just watch her do that for hours!!"

"When she's done with the leaf, she is happy to just sit beside you for love. She was a couch potato in her previous life, but it's clear she doesn't miss it! Her pads used to bleed from playing, and she was way out of shape! Her pads are now toughened and she has thighs of steel!"

"She can be quite intimidating when she wants to be. But it's just her look and most people just don't understand. So far, she has had offers to become a guard dog, and typical street punks trying to adopt her. (note for Eric: they're messin' with the wrong bitch and I don't mean Charm!)"

"She has great manners once she calms down and knows basic commands. There are alot of signs that her previous owners were abusive but she hasn't let this change her outlook on life. She is so forgiving, no matter what the situation! She has shown no animal aggression so far, even when other dogs charge her in the kennels. She's all about tug and belly rubs!"

"And that's more than alright with me! Beside passing her temp test with flying colors, she is great for everything! I've pilled her, cleaned her ears, and have to add that she prefers to be hand fed!! Because of her strength she would like older kids to play with. She is one of the smartest dogs I've ever met, and easily trained. She deserves a life as wonderful as she is!"

"Another note to Eric: Isn't she the sexiest little thing??? I tell her that all the time, and I swear she knows what I'm saying because she turns to me with an even sexier look each time!!! I've turned this girl into a spoiled princess, and I love it!!! She really deserves it since some of my coworkers want her dead!!!!!! They, too, are messin' with the wrong bitch!!!! Thanks Eric."
