Again, fact is worse than fiction -- look what happened to this poor girl. Her foster mom writes --
"I am the foster mom for Mocha Cherie, a catahoula mix who is between
1-2 years old.
Mocha Cherie was originally purchased to hunt deer. Evidently her
owner paid alot of money for her because she was supposed to be able to
really hunt deer. Well, Little Mocha was not the least bit intersted in
hunting deer. So, her owner chained her to a tree in his back yard and
starved her practically to death. I have sent the incoming picture of her.
She escaped somehow and was transported to rescue.

She continues...
"I took this little girl who was basically a bag of bones and fed her
and fed her and worked with her. She is now a healthy, 50 lb little girl who
is very energetic, enthusiastic about life, loves everyone from cats, to
kids, to other dogs. It amazes me that a dog who has been so mistreated can
still find it in her heart to love life and the people who are around her.
She was trained in her earlier life so she has basic commands such as sit,
stay, come. She is very eager to please those around her. She adores the
water and loves to swim and fetch. She would make a great duck hunting dog
because she loves to retrieve things- sticks, balls, etc from the water. I
have attached a current photo of her."

and...
"So what are Mocha's weaknesses? Well, she is afraid of thunder and
will hide under the bed. She has seperation anxiety and is crated whenever I
leave the house. We have been working on both of those issues. She is a very
fast learner and seems to love the process of learning new things.
I currently have Mocha and another Shar Pei, Dan-O in my foster
care. I have 3 of my own dogs. Mocha has been the saving grace for the shar
pei foster who was deeply depressed when he arrived after being severely
abused and tossed out in the mountains of Hawaii. Although, I personally
would gladly be tossed out in the mountains of Hawaii, this little boy did
not handle it well at all. Mocha has totally taken him under her wing and
has made him come out of his depression and begin eating again. I owe her
alot for that. She amazes me. My friends call them Romeo and Juliet."

And finally...
"She is spayed, heart worm negative and up to date on her shots.
Thank you for anything you may do to help this little girl find a
terrific home. I think she would be happiest where she can run and swim and
ride in someone's truck or with someone who stays at home. She does not like
being left alone. I almost think a farm would be wonderful. She likes to be
busy."
INTERSESTED? Come onnn -- this one's a no brainer!
