Coco lives on Long Island, and can no longer stay in her home. Her dad writes --

"Hey eric - I was referred to you by a rescue group .I heard you rescue pit bulls.

I am in a very bad situation and where I am living I have to give up my 1 1/2 year old brindle pit bull cocoa she is fixed has all here shot is registered in Suffolk County New York -- I live in Copiague New York."

"I have 48 hours left before I have to either take my dog to the shelter where in 10 days or so they will put her to sleep in the town of Babylon.

I had a person who I thought was going to adopt her but did not and I need to get her a home or to a place where I know she will be adopted shortly.

I do not want to put her down but in 48 hours I may have to here are some photos of cocoa."

"She is wonderful gets along with other dogs cats and loves to play she is amazing,I have to get rid of her due to where I live there has been a problem with the number of animals and also I have a bad back and shoulders

Yesterday cocoa broke out my house and I fell on my face and possibly broke my arm trying to catch her."

"Sadly I cant handle her anymore and I love her to death but if she is going to get into the wrong hands I am force by this Friday, July 22 do put her down myself.

Please call me or let me know what can be  done she has all her shots and I have a file on her but this Friday I have to have her somewhere or else I have no choice but to put her down.

Please help I am reachable all the time as I am disabled.

Well, through all these words, and these pictures, this picture at the left hurts the most --

-- this girl is obviously sweet, and she has done nothing wrong, yet she must go.

I called Mike tonight and he said he can hold her past tomorrow, 7/20/06, but that he can't hold on to her for long.

Can you give her 12 more years of love and commitment? Can you promise her the forever she needs?
