Here is little Dom, a 6 mo. old pit bull who made it out of the throngs of an Ohio shelter.

He writes -

"Hi, my name is Domino. I am a sweet and loveable boy looking for a place to call my own. I am from a shelter in Ohio that was going to have me gassed on October 20th. Luckily, I was sponsored a few days before which meant I was neutered and vaccinated but I still had nowhere to go."

"Then on my last day with only a few hours left, someone came to help me. She knew I deserved another chance in life, and could tell I would be a wonderful dog.

I was put on a transport bus with my sister, and drove all the way from Ohio to New York where I am now."

"I love being out of there and in a warm and cozy house. I am such a good boy - I am potty trained, crate trained, love dogs, cats and kids, I LOVE to lay out in the sun and roll over for belly rubs."

"If there is a lap around, I will climb into it. Now all I need is a family that will love me forever. Please give me a chance to show you what a handsome and sweet boy I am, and I will be forever grateful."

So, that's little Dom's story, and now for some pictures of him -- !!

Here he is with foster Melissa, being plenty socialized and loved-on --

-- more of the above -- !!

Here, "Dom, what are you doing?"

Dom: "Oh not much -- just enjoying my days, and the fact that I got a second chance"

:D

And here's more LAZINESS -- !!

Pit bulls, though terriers, are actually quite low-energy dogs, though if you're in to jogging, etc., they're happy companions --

And here, you can tell the advantages of a foster home over just putting a dog in a run at the pound --

-- personal attention -- !!

So, there's Dom -- handsome and loved in downstate New York --

-- he would be a lovely addition to any family worthy of him -- could it be yours?

If you're interested, and can promise him the love and caring he deserves, fill out an adoption application above!
