Spring, 2004 -- that was then...

Little Hunny was born at the wrong time... and at the right time. Although she was found an urban stray by ACOs, she was taken in by two fairy godmothers with over 30 years combined rescue experience. This girl has angels watching over her, as well as a lovely new Lupine collar and leash, and the potential to make life a real treat for her new forever home!

 

Winter, 2005 -- and this is now -- !!

Well, just LOOK at our lady -- almost two years later -- !!

Look at how PRETTY our girl has become -- -- her look, her eyes, her coat -- -- and what you can't see, her temperament -- it's GREAT!

Sure, Hunny isn't a puppy, but that doesn't bother her, or me, at all -- -- instead, she's an adult pit bull with a temperament that is known, that I know, and that is stable -- -- THAT in itself is worth giving her a closer eye -- !!

Two years in foster -- is that reality?? Um.... NO -- !! But, for Hunny at SPBR, it is. Imagine her as an adolescent, picked up as a stray -- and then in a kill shelter -- she was soon to become another pit bull statistic. This breed faces so many misgivings, so many forgotten promises and so many "best intentions" that never come through -- -- so this is the best I can do, and I'm pretty happy with it -- making Hunny's reality exceptional, and giving her a great life till she gets a great home.

This girl is beauty, and sweet... ... last night, she was out and about, and instead of running around playing, she curled up in a little ball next to me, on the floor, on my jacket -- -- just happy to be close to me...

"Enough of the pillow talk," says Hunny -- -- "it's time to go INSIDE -- !!"

If so, you would mean the world to Hunny -- -- taking her from a life of dribs and drabs to a reality of fun and companionship -- -- and, quite honestly, what could be better than that??
