Mini and Mia !

The following came to me from a rescuer needing help with these girls... please give them a look and cross-post or help where you can!

Mini: Her foster home fell through today.

Mini is listed as a pit/shepard mix, but I'm sending some pictures along in case you can't find her for any reason. We need to find a place for her by the weekend- we're really down to the wire. Mini was spayed on Monday and got a rabies shot, and is recovering well from the surgery. We have been talking to people and have had more interest this week, but nothing is definite yet. Mini doesn't seem super dominant, but we really don't know how she'll be for sure since this month has been an adjustment for her to say the least.

I think she'd be a pretty uncomplicated dog in a single pet home, but I also think she would need a knowledgeable person to help navigate introductions in a multi-pet home. I don't know that she would react badly, but I'm also new to pits and I know that everybody is much better off when things go smoothly in the beginning.

Mia was found in pretty bad shape, tied out in a not so good area of the city. This good Samaritan took her in and now she is very healthy and happy. She is up-to-date with shots and is spayed. Gets along with other dogs, cats and children and is VERY affectionate.

She is about 55lbs. NOT crate trained. She does well with routines. She is scared of her shadow, afraid of people with hoods and hats. She will need a person to train her in a soft manner with positive reinforcement. Her favorite place is to be sleeping next to her owner.
