A stable environment brings out the best in a human or animal, right??

Well, this is frustrating -- and a day in the life of an unfortunate pit bull --

-- the crux here is that this pup is expected to be a "normal, healthy, happy dog" when re-homed, yet look at the trauma she's put through by her prior keeper --

-- so, as I see it, the dog is under mental (and maybe physical) duress and potential abuse by this situation -- affecting her personality with potential issues like separation anxiety, etc., NOT necessarily because she is a"pit bull", but because she is an unfortunate, mistreated dog --

-- yet many will point fingers at the breed when behavioral incidents occur and not to the people responsible for such acts.

Hopefully she will be adopted, and if she has issues, her new owners will work with her via a trainer or obedience class.

-- I am working on getting pictures -- if interested, please apply --

Hi -

I live in Hartford, Ct.  I was in my dorm today when I looked out to find a barking pitbull tied up in an empty parking lot.  It is a very warm day in CT today.  I brought her some water.  She looks under a year and is brown with white on her underside.  I can’t take care of her! I have three dogs already.  Our on campus security called Hartford animal control and they have taken her to a shelter. I took their information with the hope that I could find a home for her.  I’m fairly confident that this dog was left there on purpose (a college campus) with the hopes that someone would give her a home.  The shelter will keep her for a week… if she is not claimed; they will put her to sleep.  She is very sweet and cute.  Would you take her? Do you know anyone I can talk to who would?

UPDATE:

She is here
