Here's little Olive, a 14-week old baby who suffered a broken leg. Her foster mom writes:

"I am writing to you with a situation in hopes that you may have some suggestions. I work at an emergency veterinary center in Upstate NY. Over the weekend we had a 14 week old pit bull surrendered to us. She had been trampled by larger dogs in the household as everyone attempted to run down the stairs.

She ended up with a broken elbow and her owners did not have the money to cover the costs of treatment."

"Because we did not want to see her euthanized we had the owners surrender her to us so we could provide treatment.

The puppy had surgery today to fix her leg. I am more that willing to take financial responsibility for that and complete her puppy vaccines. I was wondering if you knew of anyone that may be interesting in adopting her. She is very sweet dog and is used to being around other animals (dogs & cats)."

"Besides the leg issue she is otherwise a healthy puppy.
I will be picking her up from the referral center tomorrow and will know more about what the post-op care is going to be and will let you
know more then.

I can give you all of the information about what has
been done, all bloodwork results etc."
