I received the following two days ago --

"My name is DAY and I was referred to you by Susie.

I rescued an abandoned pup in Brooklyn this morning from the park. The sad thing is that I witnessed the owners doing it but unfortunately didn't have enough info for the ASPCA."

"The ASPCA told me to contact Animal Control who in turn informed me that after three days the pup would be euthanized if no one claimed him...my attitude to them was "uh HELLO, I witnessed him being abandoned so it's obvious no one would claim him.

This pup is approximately 4-6 months and is absolutely beautiful. He's a bit emaciated and devoured both kibble and water when given. He's extremely playful and knows the "sit" command."

"He seems very social and isn't food aggressive. He enjoyed playing with my dog. I would love to keep him but I already have a 2yr old male Akita.

the pup is now at my neighbors in her back yard."

"If you can take him OR know someone who would love him to death could you please contact me via email or phone.

Can I tell you again how greatful I am that you responded so quickly...I was an emotional wreck trying to figure out what to do.

STAY BLESSED!
DAY
"

She wrote yesterday --

"I wanted to send you photos of the pup that I saw being abandoned yesterday morn.

We've decided to name him Theo...and wait until you see this ray of sunshine.

Last night my neighbor said that he did SO well last night. He's not food aggressive, doesn't bark, loves laying in the sun, plays with other dogs well and also is VERY good with children.

Hopefully these photos capture all of that."

"Please keep me posted if you can find a home for him. I'm STILL trying to convince my neighbor to keep him because he's becoming attached to us all!

STAY BLESSED! DAY"

Well, little Theo is just a baby -- and has already seen the dark side of people --

-- can you show him the bright side of us?

He is just a lad, and will be fully vetted and assessed before placement --

-- but really, it's we who have to gain his favor.

If interested, fill out an application above!
