I received the following this morning --

"My Step-son Tremayne Walker was shot and killed in West Philly on 11/11/07, while walking his two dogs. They were his Children, Mother She-She 4yrs. and Daughter Chris 7 months. His Girlfriend is taking very good care of these two very friendly dogs, but no one can keep them permanetly. We would like to find a home where they can be kept together. If you could direct us to anybody who could help or if you have any advice please contact me . Thank you. Cheryl"

 

Well, what a sad event, with this young Tremayne losing his life needlessly.

I googled him, and found many a tributes on MySpace to Tremayne, who was an accomplished drummer and, from the pictures and description above, a true lover of his dogs.

I am working on getting photos and descriptions of the dogs, and we will assess them behaviorally and spay them before their placement.

Now, the next step is up to you -- this is where "practice random acts of kindness" comes in to action.
