Here is little TT, who is trying hard to make her life a worthy one.
Her foster mom writes --
"My son, Chris, rescued T.T. (short for Tatiana) and her brother from a very bad situation in May 2006.
The dogs were not cared for and barely fed. Living under an abandoned car in a dirty backyard in a bad neighborhood , they regularly ate dirt and sticks. Chris brought both dogs home and gave them a much needed bath. His friend adopted the brother and he is doing very well."
" T.T. has had several vet appointments, is current with all her shots and was treated successfully for worms. The Vet says she is a very healthy (and lucky) dog.
He determined that she is a mix of St. Bernard / Boxer / Pit Bull and estimated her birth date to be February 1, 2006."
"T.T. is extremely affectionate and lovable and soon made her way into all of our hearts – even my spoiled little 3-year old Jack Russell Terrier mix, Lola.
They cry to play together but sometimes get carried away and are a bit much to keep together in my home."
"Chris was not working when he rescued T.T. and spent most days and evenings with her. They became close and still are.
However, three weeks ago, he took a full time job that keeps him out of the house Monday through Saturday and he now spends many evenings out, too."
"As a result, T.T. spends almost 24 hours a day either penned up or chained in our yard. She is a happy puppy and is growing fast.
We try to give her as much attention as possible but this is difficult because we all work full time."
"I have a pet sitter that walks Lola and now T.T. and she is also very fond of her but has noticed that T.T. is starved for attention.
We are all concerned that our little lovable T.T. will become resentful with lack of attention and we do not want to see this happen.
She is a good natured dog and is paper trained. With a more structured environment and more care and attention, I know she will be housebroken in no time at all."

note from eric:
I just HAD to put this picture in --
-- it's the way I got it, and is pretty interesting --
-- and no, she's not evil in the slightest -- quite to the contrary!
"T.T. is very friendly with people and other animals. We take her to the local "doggie beach" on Sunday (whenever we can) where she and Lola can run around free.
T.T. plays well with all breeds. T.T. is very interested in playing with children although most children get a little wary when they first see her but then warm up to her quickly.
She may be suspicious of new adults once in a while but when we introduce her she becomes docile and friendly with everyone."
"T.T. is highly motivated by food and will do anything for a treat. She has learned to sit and give paw (see photo).
She has made friends with all our neighbors and neighborhood dogs, including: A Rottweiler, Two Boxers, One Shepherd Mix and a Great Dane."
" We love T.T. very much and that is why we know she deserves a better life.
We hope we can find a loving home with structure, space and caring individuals who will nurture her gentle, loving spirit.
Won't you help T.T.?"

Well, little T.T. has been blessed by Gene and her family, and unfortunately their living situation is dictating that she leave.
She is 16-20 weeks old, and appears to be quite the smart little lady, with socialization already under way!
Little T.T., dont' forget, is a pit bull, and pit bulls usually grow in to their breed trait of dog aggression at around one to two years.
That means that T.T. may not be as tolerant of her other dog friends, etc., or she may be just happy as a clam -- that depends on her individual temperament and personality.
More on dog aggression can be found here.
Also, little T.T., if adopted with other pets in the house, should be crated while unattended --
-- many dogs love their crates, and starting the process from a young age gets them used to crating -- defining it as their safe haven instead of their place for punishment.
This picture shows the beauty of little T.T.'s coat, as well as her healthy little build! |
So, there we are with this girl --
-- she is a big puppy who is just beginning her adolescence --
-- she needs a committed, loving owner who will love and cherish who she is while also acknowledging her breed and her breed traits.
