Faith...
IS NOW A HAPPY ENDING!!!
Click here to link to update below!
Well, this girl's story is nothing short of spectacular... here are pictures of her when she was originally posted this past spring...

|
... as you can see, Faith was pretty near the end of the "why I trust the human race" game -- she was used as a breeding machine and then dumped on the interstate when her "owners" were done with her --
|
|
|
Next, a foster momma helped Faith -- she had a real passion for this girl.
First, the foster got Faith all cleaned up, and then Faith did the rest, being the sweet, thankful girl she'd always wanted to be...
|
Faith has proven to herself to be a little home-body, doing wonderful with people and cats alike. One thing, however, she doesn't like, is feral cats -- she's 100% domesticated at heart! |
|
|
Faith is sooo comfortable with cats, that she passed the double-threat test -- food aggression combined with a feline friend -- NO PROBLEM, said Faith --- GOOD GIRL!!! |
So, now Faith is ready for her next stage of life -- here's what the foster mom has to say about her --
"This dog was used heavily as a breeding bitch starting at a very young age. She was recently rescued from a kill shelter in West Virginia. Faith is a wonderful dog. She is approximately 2 or 3 years old and very playful, yet gentle and quiet. She is extremely intelligent, obedient and eager to please. Faith does not run away and is a joy to walk on or off the leash because she listens so well. She LOVES other dogs and is happiest when in the company of other canines, especially ones who want to play. She loves to ride in the car and has no separation anxiety when left alone. She is very affectionate and loves to give kisses. She has shown no aggression whatsoever towards people or children. She is housebroken. Foster person would provide veterinary care, heartworm preventive and flea/tick preventive for life. She is a lovely dog."
Again, the foster mom said, "Foster person who would provide veterinary care, heartworm preventive and flea/tick preventive for life!"
IMAGINE how much her foster believes in this girl to give her lifetime health sponsorship! The foster also said Faith's location is irrelative of the sponsorship -- she will be sponsored for full vetting! If you are serious about helping Faith with her last mission in obtaining the perfect life, please fill out an application for her above -- THANK YOU! |
Well, miracles do happen -- and Petfinder helped us with this one -- !! Enter Marilyn, from Philadelphia, whose rescued vizshla of 17 years recently died. Marilyn's pup lived a wonderful, happy life and Marilyn even took her to ACUPUNCTURE and to the CHIROPRACTOR vet when needed!!!
Faith's foster mom took Faith on her home visit, and she did FANTASTIC -- she's acclimated wonderfully in the past day, and here's what the family has to say:
"Thank you thank you thank you!
|
|
Yesterday, Faith's foster brought her to us and we couldn't be happier. Faith is really the best dog in the world (I know everyone says that about their pets....but it's true) and we can't stop musing over how lucky we are to have found her!
Faith is adjusting fine, she is a big cuddle bug and is happiest when in bed! She is a joy to walk and loves the park already! The only problem is, I didn't want to go to work this morning!
Faith's foster mom obviously has done a wonderful job with her and we can't thank her enough....please come visit any time!

Here's more great news --
"Hi Eric,
I'm sure you've heard from Faith's foster mom that the meeting on Sunday went VERY well, and Faith is now living with my aunt, Marilyn. I was in Philly last night and got to meet her- she is SUCH a sweet and beautiful dog! Marilyn can't believe how lucky she is to have found the perfect dog! But she was downstairs most of yesterday getting to know Faith. My cousin and her fiance are living with my aunt until they find a place of their own. They are CRAZY about Faith. They took her to the park yesterday and for several romps in the backyard. I think my cousin and my aunt are both competing to try to get Faith to sleep in their rooms with them! My aunt said that Amy seemed reluctant to let her go, and Faith was sitting by the door long after Amy left. But tell her that Faith is going to get ridiculous amounts of love in her new home.
I took a couple of pictures last night, but Faith HATED the flash, so I didn't want to stress her out. I'll email them to you tomorrow.
I am so thrilled and grateful that this worked out.

How wonderful this all is... |
|
|
And here's the new family...
"Marilyn (my aunt) is on the left of Faith, the girl with the glasses is my cousin Melissa, the blond behind the dog is my aunt's best friend Fanny, and my grandmother Sara is next to her (with a big smile on her face!)"
GOOD GIRL, FAITH -- make us proud, and we are so happy you are soooooo blessed! |
