Iggy's life is gonna be on Easy Street!

Click here to see Igg at 12 weeks!

Well, here's the journey of little Iggy, a pit bull
pup born to China, in Manhattan's Animal Control and rescued
shortly thereafter...

Here's the little Iglet, after coming to rescue...

week 1

week 2

week 4

Here's momma China, who is still available for adoption - fill out an app for her here!

On to little Igger... here he is at the vet's, after his neuter, with the remainder of his Nutri-Cal snack adorning his nose...!

... and on to the home visit...

... this boy shall live in the mansion on the hill...!

Next, Igger meets his new momma, Lisa...

... and Lisa introduces Iggy to his new sister, Tia...

... Maya, their mature Jack Russell Terrier, scopes out the newbie...

... and Iggy says,

"I'm a big boy now... oh, and please mind my wrinkles...!"

Tia gives Ig a guided tour of the house...

... and he finds his first toy... our favorites, since pups can't tear 'em up, because they can't get past the rubber pricklers...!

... all firsts here... Iggy meets kitty Lucas...

... after Iggy gets his first collar and his microchip is scanned, he's off to play with his second toy... the rope tug!

... and with that, Iggy meets his new brothers...

... he says, "Oh, don't worry about this toy being too big for me... I'll grow right in to it...!"

In his first outside appearance, Iggy does his best Loch Ness monster pose..!

Iggy's Dad, George, introduces Igger to the family livestock...

... and Iggy is nothing short of ECSTATIC!

... and back inside, we show off his neuter sutures... "SHHHHH..." says Iggy.... !!

... I embarrass my little man a bit more with a kiss goodbye...

... and this is a shot Iggy could only DREAM of -- napping -- don't worry, we're almost done, Ig!

... the group assembles for a family photo with their newest member...

... and there you have it...

So, Iggy is blessed... as is his new family... as am I...

... here was Tia's going-away gift to me... life is oftentimes beautiful, and I am so happy to be a part of this celebration...

Life at 12 weeks, as of 4/1/05!

Well, updates like this are a real treat --

-- Igger has done wonderful integrating in to the family, and is getting some obedience to boot -- !!

Who says little boys can't be spoiled??!!

Like Napolean surveying his empire, Iggy peruses his with pride -- !!

Now just WHAT are you two doin'???

Haha -- it's TREAT TIME --

-- and that's a pretty good sit-stay for a 12-week old, wouldn't you agree?

GOOD WORK, ALL!!

Here's what Lisa writes:

"You know what Gene and Iggy were waiting for in those pics? A piece of Radish! They both love, radish, carrots, cucumbers and any other veggie... Iggy ate the carrot off the snowman's face the other day!!!"

Lisa wrote this caption here --

"Wait, one more, I love this one, as it shows how he and Tia are both learning so much... "

One word from me here:

BELLY!

So, Iggy will continue with his journeys through paradise -- provided by an open-minded family that is committed to raising this boy right and in helping spread positive pit bull ownership --

THANK YOU!!!
