Well, how many times a day can you hear the unraveling atrocities that Mike Vick and his "operation" are being alleged of?

Basically, Mike Vick, the NFL "star" player was indicted by a federal grand jury on Jul 17, 2007 on charges of sponsoring a dog-fighting operation so cruel that its "losers" either died in the pit, were electrocuted, hanged or shot.

We here at SPBR obviously love our pups dearly -- and they happen to be pit bulls.

We also realize that the US Government is a very effective machine in investigating this indictment, and in trying this "man" -- with a hopeful conviction of 6 years in prison and fines.

So, where do we go from here?

Well first, we ask that everyone support the HSUS' stance to suspend of ban Mike Vick from the NFL --

-- this "man" is neither a "hero", a "star" or, most significantly, an "example" to anyone -- let alone the small children who idolize sports figures.

Mike Vick has shown through the allegations that he is indeed cruel and degrading to these dogs, and that he has little respect for life. Does he think this "sport" of his -- dog-fighting -- is indeed a "sport"?

Thus, we ask your support of the HSUS, by visiting their site here to petition the NFL to suspend, or ban, Vick from the NFL.

The NFL needs to realize the impact its players have on society, especially kids, and it should not tolerate such "examples" as Mike Vick to commit the acts he's alleged of, and to continue as a player for its league.
