I'm currently in vet school in Mississippi and I have two wonderful pit bulls, Pineapple and Stella. They are the loves of my life and both have shown me how wonderful the breed is.

Pineapple is the baby and I just go her in may. She was going to be euthanized at a day old only because she was 1/2 "pit bull". Stella was found at about 4 weeks of age, malnourished, wormy, so badly infected with scabies the vet didn't even think she would make it. Needless to say she was nursed back to health and I like to think has become a good ambassador for all the "bully breeds" out there.

The person that rescued Pineapple, told me about your website and love what you guys are doing up there and what you're doing for the breed. As you can imagine we have a lot of problems with crappy owners who neglect and abuse thier pit bulls down here, and like everywhere else breed bans are starting to flare up around the state. I think public education, setting the example and cracking down on cruel, neglectful owners is going to be the key to fighting this battle.

I am hoping one day I will be able to help the breed as much as you have. You and your stories inspire me! Thanks for all you do! I included a picture of my precious pups and their big visit with Santa! Keep up the good work!
