Their response -- "It's ON THE JOB training" -- !!

So, this is the way to spend a week's vacation -- clearing property!

I am moving shortly, and the land I bought is wonderful, albeit DENSE -- there's no protections on it, like wetlands, etc., just a lot of scrub...

... and, after asking around for quotes from heavy equipment companies, I took it upon myself to get a little dirty!

So, day one was clearing, day two was turning the soil and compressing it, and now I'm working on a lot of grading, draining and the like --

-- 56 hours on a bull-dozer leaves never a dull moment -- one must watch for tipping, going in reverse too fast, running out of diesel, and keeping my earplugs in --

-- BUT it'll all be worth it --

-- I can just imagine my princess, Precious, and my fosters, like Victor, loving the country living, running on long leads on the acreage --

-- so, with that, only 30 more hours to go --

-- and to see Precious smile like this again some day soon will indeed be PRECIOUS -- !!
