Our Memorial Day weekend has already begun -- lazily!

I awoke this morning to find Thor already in his favorite spot, sunning himself in the bay window --

-- you can tell, he KNOWS he shouldn't be up there -- !!

-- this is Thor nowadays, when he's not playing, that is --

-- Thor is a pretty introspective boy, and is sweet as can be --

-- he is very gentle, and is quite the looker, too -- !!

Here is Thor as a baby, when he came to rescue. Somewhat a similar experession -- never too quick to judge -- or move -- !!

Thor is kind of a "meet and greet" boy for me with new people --

-- when my Mom's breast cancer survivors group wanted to see the "dog I had in the car", I brought out Thor --

-- he greeted the ladies with wags and also with falling on his back, looking for belly rubs --

Although I didn't get a picture of Thor interacting with the survivors, I did get a picture of their dragon boat, which they use in competition against other survivors, and which helps them gain stamina to further fight off cancer --

-- and below, the survivors -- NOT people who would every day be meeting pit bulls!

These folks' impressions of pit bull have been 99% influenced by the media, and their views were not at all positive --

-- before meeting dear Thor, that is -- !!

So, back to sweet Thor --

-- he is actually so sweet that my mom SWEARS he's part lab --

-- well, we'll let her keep that misconception, but for us, Thor is an exceptional boy, through and through, and he is a pit bull.
